It's Christmas time!

Tonight we got our first snow fall of the year. It's beautiful out- but it took me 3 hours to get home from work today so it's only great if I'm indoors cuddling with Vic on the couch watching movies.

This past weekend we celebrated Vic's 29th birthday by having our closest friends over for a birthday/housewarming party. This gave me the perfect incentive to get our home in order and show off our home in all it's glory. Not to mention gave me a chance to take pics to show you all. So without further adeiiu I present casa de Marte :)

We have been busy

It's been about a month since I last posted. We have been busy tidying up details for our wedding. I picked our flower girl dress and jr bridesmaid dress. I went dress shopping with my future mother in law and my mom- no luck just yet, but I'm not worried we have time. We picked up our wedding rings, I had my hair trial, and we hired our justice of the peace.

Speaking of wedding stuff- in the midst of moving I completely forgot to post pics from our engagement session with the fabulous Tony DiFranco. Here are a couple of photos from the shoot that Vic and I absolutely love.

We celebrated my brother Michael's 25th birthday- hard to believe, time sure does fly by. Pretty soon Vic and I will be married, celebrating my 30th birthday and planning the next stage in our life (whatever that may be). I can't believe it's only 5 months till our wedding it will be here before we know it- I can hardly wait!!!

It all begins...

Well technically this blog should have been created when Vic and I officially closed on Casa de Marte on October 29th but as you can imagine we've been busy trying to get our nest in order. Since closing we painted the master bedroom, bought a few decorative elements, and spruced up the kitchen- nothing major (yet)!

We loved our new home from the moment we saw it. Its perfect location, size, and amenities were everything we had been looking for. The previous owners took good care of it, minus the hideous blue room their kids shared (but more on that later). Nothing a coat of paint and some good elbow grease can't take care of. :)

I can't wait to see how our home turns out over these next few years- hopefully you'll become just as excited ;)

Here are a few pics of what the place looked like when the old owners were here.
Fenced in park for future kids :)

We can't wait to decorate and make this place our own. Stay tuned.
